Better Analyst only issues SOQL SELECT queries and Bulk API 2.0 query jobs and has no write path. Salesforce has no read-only OAuth scope, though: the api scope carries the connecting user’s full API rights. Connect with a dedicated integration user whose permission set grants read access only. Which objects can Better Analyst access? Only the objects selected when the connector is saved, up to 40 per org, and only the fields the connecting user can see. Standard objects such as Account, Opportunity, Lead, and Case are suggested by default; custom \_\_c objects can be added. Does it work with sandboxes and My Domain? Yes. Choose Production, Sandbox (test.salesforce.com), or enter your My Domain host ending in .my.salesforce.com when you authorize. Can my team share the connection? Yes. Connectors created in a team workspace are available to that team, and each org can be connected once per workspace. Does it use my Salesforce API limits? Yes. Queries count against your org’s daily API request allocation, and large exports count against Bulk API limits.
