Create, manage, refresh, rename, and share interactive Better Analyst web dashboards.

Web dashboards turn an analysis into an interactive page with charts, tables, filters, and a shareable link. Use them when people need to explore the result in a browser instead of receiving a static image or file.

## Create a Web Dashboard

1. Start a chat and attach the files or connected sources you want to analyze.
2. Ask Better Analyst to build a web dashboard.
3. Describe the audience, decisions, metrics, filters, and comparisons the dashboard should support.
4. Review the generated dashboard and request any changes in chat.

For example:

> Build an executive web dashboard for weekly revenue, margin, and target attainment. Include date and region filters, a monthly trend, and the five largest variances.

## Manage a Dashboard

Open **Dashboards** from the sidebar, then select a dashboard. Depending on its data sources and runtime, the header can include controls to:

- Refresh connected data
- Schedule eligible refreshes
- Swap a source file or connector
- Review or download the dashboard's datasets
- Restore an earlier dashboard version
- Rename the dashboard by selecting its title or pencil icon
- Make the dashboard public and copy its share link

Some controls are available only when the dashboard has a compatible saved data recipe or source. Better Analyst leaves the last successful dashboard available when a refresh cannot run.

On Free, you can refresh a dashboard by hand up to 5 times a day. Paid plans can also refresh dashboards on a daily schedule.

## Refresh Support by Source

A refresh re-runs the request saved with each dataset against its connected source. It never applies a partial result: if a source fails, the dashboard keeps its last successful data.

| Source | Refreshes | Notes |
| - | - | - |
| Google Analytics 4 | Yes | Relative date ranges move forward on each refresh. |
| Google Search Console | Yes | Rolling windows move forward on each refresh. |
| Google Ads | Yes | Relative date ranges move forward on each refresh. Switch account can point the dashboard at another Google Ads account. |
| Meta Ads (coming soon) | Once available | Relative date ranges move forward on each refresh, read in the ad account's time zone. Switch account can point the dashboard at another ad account. A refreshed dataset keeps its original columns. |
| Databases and warehouses — Snowflake, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, Supabase, MySQL, SQL Server | Yes | The saved read-only query runs again. |
| Airtable, Tableau, Power BI | Yes | The saved request runs again against the same base, view, or dataset. |
| Google Sheets linked to the chat | Yes | Reads the sheet's current contents. |
| Public datasets and Custom APIs | Yes | The saved request runs again. |
| Uploaded files and information read from a web page | No | Captured once. Use **Swap a source file** to replace an uploaded file. |

A dataset fetched before its source supported refresh, or fetched as a preview, partial, or one-time result, stays a snapshot. Fetch it again in chat to make it refreshable. When a connected source's sign-in expires, the refresh stops with a reconnect message; reconnect the source from **Connected Data Sources** and refresh again.

## Public Links and Embeds

A dashboard is private until you enable **Public** in its **Share** panel. A public link opens a hosted share page that anyone with the link can view.

The embed code uses the dashboard content in an iframe. Public-page branding and embed customization are separate features: assigning a Brand Kit to a public dashboard changes the hosted share-page header, not the embedded dashboard or its charts.

## Dashboard Styling

A Brand Kit selected while building a dashboard can guide its colors, typography, and number formatting. The dashboard saves the styling used when it is generated.

Public-share branding is configured separately. Workspaces on a paid plan can assign a saved Brand Kit to replace Better Analyst branding in the header of a public dashboard link.

## In a Team

The list follows the project you pick in the project switcher. See [Projects](https://betteranalyst.com/docs/get-started/projects). Only the person who created a dashboard, or an owner or admin, can change, publish, or delete it. See [Roles & Permissions](https://betteranalyst.com/docs/teams/roles-permissions).
