Snowflake Dashboard for Revenue: Month, Region and Channel
Summary
A Snowflake revenue dashboard puts monthly revenue, growth versus last year, and breakdowns by region, channel and customer on one page, read straight from your warehouse tables. With Snowflake connected to Better Analyst, you describe the dashboard in plain English, review the SQL and share a web dashboard that refreshes on schedule.

How to build it in Better Analyst from Snowflake
- Create a dedicated Snowflake role and user with SELECT on the schemas you want to analyse (the Snowflake connector docs include the SQL).
- In Better Analyst, open Connectors, choose Add Connector, then Snowflake, and enter the account identifier, username, password, warehouse and database, plus an optional schema and role.
- Click Test Connection (the warehouse must be running) and save.
- Add Data Context describing your revenue tables, for example which column is net revenue and which statuses count as completed, so every chart uses the same definition.
- Describe the dashboard you want: monthly net revenue with YoY growth, revenue by region and channel, and the top 20 customers, with a date filter.
Questions to ask
- “Build a revenue dashboard: monthly net revenue with YoY growth, revenue by region and channel, and the top 20 customers.”
- “Which region grew fastest year over year last quarter?”
- “What share of revenue comes from our top 10 customers?”
- “Total revenue by region last quarter, excluding cancelled orders.”

Schedule dashboard refreshes so the page is current each morning, and use alerts on monthly revenue (for example a fall of more than 10% versus the previous month) to notify finance by email or Slack.
