Is there an AI that can analyze data?
An AI data analyst uses AI to process, interpret, and extract insights from data through natural language. Better Analyst turns your questions into charts, insights, spreadsheets, data models, and more.
How accurate is AI data analysis?
Accuracy depends on the quality of your data and the clarity of the question. Better Analyst uses advanced language models to interpret requests, and it shows the calculations and code behind complex transformations so you can verify the output.
What data sources are supported for analysis?
Upload Excel, CSV, TSV, and PDF files, or connect Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Ads, Tableau, Power BI, Airtable, HubSpot, Google Sheets, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, SharePoint, Google BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Supabase, Microsoft SQL Server, Amazon Redshift, and Salesforce.
Can I share dashboards with clients or people outside my team?
Yes. On the Business plan, Viewers can open your team’s dashboards for free, and per-member rules control which rows each viewer sees. You can also embed a white-label analytics chat in your own product.
Can Better Analyst alert me when a metric changes?
Yes. Alerts watch a metric from your connected data and send an email or a Slack message when it crosses a threshold, changes sharply from the previous period, or stops arriving. Alerts check daily on Max and Business and weekly on Starter, or after each run of a Data Flow, and before you save one you can preview how often it would have fired over the last 30, 60, or 90 days. Alerts are included on paid plans; Slack delivery needs a Max or Business team workspace.
Can I keep each client’s data separate?
Yes. Projects group each client’s sources, chats, dashboards, Data Flows and alerts, and can set which data sources and agents new chats start with. Projects are on the Max and Business plans, and on Business, private Projects limit a client’s work to the teammates you choose.
Does Better Analyst replace my BI tool?
For many teams it does: dashboards, scheduled refreshes, alerts and Slack delivery are built in. If you already use Tableau or Power BI, Better Analyst connects to them so you can ask questions on top of the data you already have there.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Analysis runs in a dedicated, isolated sandbox for each chat, and connection credentials are encrypted before they are stored. Owners and admins choose which tables, columns, and rows the AI can read on each data source. On the Business plan, each team member can see only their own rows, projects can be limited to chosen members, and teams get SSO, SCIM, and an audit log. We use the OpenAI and Anthropic APIs, which do not train on data sent through them, and we do not train models on your data ourselves. See betteranalyst.com/security for details.
What is your refund policy?
Better Analyst offers refunds for monthly and annual subscriptions when the request is made within 30 calendar days of the most recent payment and the account has used fewer than 50 total billable messages, requests, or AI Actions since that payment. Refunds may also be issued for duplicate charges, billing errors, account migration issues, persistent platform defects caused by Better Analyst, or where required by law.
