Sharing Web Dashboards with a Brand Kit
Publish a dashboard share link and use Business public branding to show your logo, header color, and publisher name.
Public dashboard links use Better Analyst branding by default. An active Business workspace can assign one Brand Kit to a dashboard and replace that public-page branding with its own logo, header color, and publisher name.
Make a Dashboard Public
- Open Dashboards and select the dashboard.
- Choose Share in the dashboard header.
- Turn on Public.
- Copy the share link.
Anyone with the link can view a public dashboard. Turn Public off when the link should no longer be accessible.
Prepare the Brand Kit
Open Brand Kits, then create or edit the kit you want to use.
In Brand details:
- Set the Public display name shown after “Shared by.”
- If you leave it blank, Better Analyst uses the Brand Kit name.
In Public share header:
- Upload one PNG, JPEG, or SVG logo up to 5 MB.
- Choose the header background color.
- Review the logo against that background. Header text changes automatically for readable contrast.
The dashboard title remains the dashboard's own name. To change it, open the dashboard and select its title or pencil icon.
Assign the Brand Kit
- Return to the dashboard.
- Open Share.
- Under Public branding, choose a Brand Kit from the same workspace as the dashboard.
- Review the compact header preview.
- Choose Save.
Personal dashboards can use the owner's personal Brand Kits. Team dashboards can use Brand Kits from that same team workspace.
What Visitors See
The public dashboard header shows:
- The Brand Kit logo, when one is uploaded
- The dashboard title
- “Shared by” followed by the public display name
- The Brand Kit's public header background color
If the Brand Kit has no logo, the share page uses a clean text-only branded header. Active branded shares also remove the floating Better Analyst call to action and Better Analyst references from the page metadata.
The dashboard content does not change
Public branding changes only the hosted share-page header. It does not recolor or regenerate charts, tables, filters, or other dashboard content. Dashboard embeds keep their existing presentation.
Live Updates and Fallbacks
The dashboard keeps a live reference to its assigned Brand Kit. Editing the kit's logo, public display name, or header background updates every eligible dashboard that uses it.
- Removing the Brand Kit assignment restores the standard Better Analyst share header.
- Deleting an assigned Brand Kit clears the assignment and restores the standard header.
- If the workspace is no longer eligible for Business public branding, the assignment is preserved but the public page falls back to the standard Better Analyst header. Restoring eligibility reactivates it.
- If Better Analyst cannot verify eligibility, the public page fails closed to the standard header.
Standalone Chart Shares
The same Business public branding is available for standalone chart share links. Open the chart's Share dialog and choose a kit under Public branding. Chart embeds remain unchanged.
Troubleshooting
The Brand Kit Is Missing from the List
Confirm that the dashboard and Brand Kit belong to the same personal or team workspace.
The Business Workspace Still Shows a Locked State
Confirm that the Business subscription is active. If the workspace is already on Business, retry after refreshing the page; Better Analyst keeps branding disabled when entitlement status cannot be verified.
The Logo Is Hard to Read
Choose a header background that contrasts with the uploaded logo, or upload a logo designed for the selected background.
