Embed Customization

Assign owner-managed Agents and one output Brand Kit, and configure your Ask-only embed appearance.

Make your embedded chat widget match your brand with custom colors, logos, and visibility settings.

Accessing Customization Settings

  1. Go to Embeddings in the sidebar
  2. Select an embed from your list
  3. Use Customization for Agents and output branding, Appearance for logo and text, and Experience for supported capabilities

Owner-managed Agents and output branding

In Customization, select up to five Agents from the embed's owning workspace. All selected Agents apply automatically; the first is the lead. Use the arrow buttons to reorder them. Create Agent and Edit open the existing editor with a return link to this embed.

Choose one Output brand kit, or None. This kit controls supported charts, reports, and other generated results. It overrides any kit attached to an Agent. None uses no kit, including no personal user preference. The embed's own logo and colors remain separate under Appearance.

Click Save Agents & Brand Kit to apply the pair of assignments. New runs, including follow-ups in existing conversations, use current Agent versions and the selected kit. An active response keeps its original configuration. If an assigned resource is deleted or becomes unavailable, update the assignment before starting another run.

Assigned Agent instructions and reference materials are used to answer embedded users. Only assign material that is appropriate for that audience. Embedded users cannot inspect or edit the configuration through customization controls.

Ask-only conversations

All embedded conversations use Ask. There is no mode switcher or consumer Customize menu in the preview or the live embed. Data Flows, enrichment workflows, and dashboard creation or editing are unavailable. Ordinary analysis, charts, tables, and supported downloads remain available. Older non-Ask conversations remain readable; start a new Ask chat to continue working.

Visibility Settings

Control what features are visible to users in your embed.

Available Toggles

SettingDescription
Allow file uploadsLet users upload their own files
Show LibraryLet users revisit files and saved artifacts
Show generated codeExpose technical analysis details
Show public Data ExplorerLet users browse public datasets

New embeds start with these capabilities off. Existing saved choices are preserved. Public chat sharing, customization controls, workspace administration, billing, tasks and platform tools are unavailable in embeds and have no visibility toggles.

The appearance preview uses sample data. Use Test to verify authentication, connected data and real interactions. Text and color edits save when you leave their input; switches save immediately. The saved status reports failures and lets you retry.
