Projects
Keep related chats, dashboards, Data Flows, alerts, and tasks together, and start new chats with the right data sources, agents, and brand. For a client, a team, a campaign, or anything else.
A project keeps related work in one place: its chats, dashboards, Data Flows, alerts, and tasks. It can also set what new chats in it start with: which data sources they can use, which agents help, and which brand their charts and dashboards use.
Use a project for whatever you organize work around, for example:
- A client, so each client's reports and data sources stay apart.
- A team or department, like Marketing or Finance.
- A campaign, product, or region.
Projects work in your personal workspace and in team workspaces.
Plans
| Plan | Projects |
|---|---|
| Free, Starter | You can look around; creating a project needs an upgrade |
| Max | 100 per team workspace |
| Business | 1,000 per team workspace |
Older Max plans include 25 projects in your personal workspace. If you have a seat on a team with Max or Business, your personal workspace gets that plan's projects too. Archived projects don't count toward the limit.
Create a project
- Open the project switcher at the top of the sidebar (it says All projects).
- Choose New project.
- Give it a name and a colour.
- Choose its data sources. Chats in the project can use only the ones you tick, and new chats start with them. Leave them all unticked to allow every source.
- Optionally choose agents for new chats to start with. Put instructions and background for the project in an agent.
- Optionally choose a brand for its charts and dashboards.
- Click Create project. You can then move matching chats into it in one step.
In a team workspace, owners and admins create and change projects. In your personal workspace, you do.
Work in a project
Pick a project in the switcher. The sidebar, dashboards, Data Flows, alerts, tasks, and Library then show only that project's work. Pick All projects to see everything again.
A new chat starts in the project you have selected. The note above the message box shows which project and what it brings; click ✕ on it to start the chat outside the project.
Move work into a project
- Chats: open the chat's ⋯ menu and choose Move to project.
- Dashboards, Data Flows, alerts, and tasks: use Move to project in their menu or page header.
- Anything made in a chat moves with that chat, so a chat and its dashboards always stay together.
Share data sources, agents, and brand kits
A data source, agent, or brand kit can serve several projects, so you add it to projects rather than move it:
- Data sources: open the source's settings and use Projects.
- Agents and brand kits: open the ⋯ menu on their page and choose Projects.
Archive a project
Open the project's settings from the switcher and choose Archive. Its work stays where it is, and you can restore it from the switcher later.
Keep a project private
On the Business plan, a team project can be limited to chosen members. See Private projects.
