Connect Your Slack Account

Link your Slack account to Better Analyst once so your Slack questions run with your Better Analyst access.

Before Better Analyst answers you in Slack, it needs to know which Better Analyst account you are. You connect once, and every question after that runs with your access.

Connect From Slack

  1. Ask Better Analyst anything in Slack, by mentioning it in a channel or sending it a DM.
  2. The first time, Better Analyst replies with a Connect account button that only you can see.
  3. Select it, sign in to Better Analyst if asked, then select Continue with Slack.
  4. Your question runs as soon as you're connected. You don't need to ask it again.

You can also open Slack from the Slack · connect your account item in the Better Analyst sidebar. It opens your DM with Better Analyst, where the Connect account button appears.

Chats you start from Slack, including direct messages, are saved in your team's Better Analyst workspace and are visible to everyone on your team.

Requirements

  • You're a member of the Better Analyst team that connected the Slack workspace.
  • You use the same Slack workspace that was connected.

Go to Integrations → Slack and select Unlink next to your name. Team admins can unlink anyone.
